The comments are more interesting then the article itself!

  1. Reprtedly one of the protestors said the following:

"I think every African-American ought to be appalled, oughtto be angry, and begin to wave their fist in the air an declare Black Power and say to the homosexual lobbyists, the homosexual groups, How dare you compare your wicked, deviant, immoral, self-destructive, anti-human behavor to our beautiful skin color."

That is an appalling statement. But why?

I will put up a blogpost about this but here I will suggest that readers compare he above quote with the remarks from SSMers who excuse, condone, and encourage people to not respect those who disagree with them on SSM but rather to curse out their opponents. Also consider the pro-gay reaction to the criticism of their analogizing racism and support for the marriage idea.

Consider this: invoking the primacy of racist identity politics to counter the primacy of gay identity politics is not a morally serious act. It dimishes all of us as human beings.

There is one human race and its nature is two-sexed. Most of the rest is noise.
