Government Empowering Itself in the Name of Gay Identity Politics

Here is a podcast that provides the context for the current federal trial of the California marriage amendment.

"Stepping Stones: The Genesis of Prop 8."

Dr J discusses her experience with the start of the Prop 8 movement in San Diego: a sham hearing, deaf ears, and the bait-and-switch tactics used by the same-sex "marriage" movement. She also shares some updates on the federal court case surrounding Proposition 8.

The podcast runs about 30 minutes and covers a lot of ground. In the interview a theme develops that the imposition of SSM corrupts good governance:

  • San Diego's City Council's high-handedness provoked the reaction that put Prop 8 on the statewide ballot in 2008.
  • Lesson learned: Domestic Partnership has proven to be a "just be nice" Trojan Horse.
  • Curent federal trial under Judge Walker has been blatantly biased against the pro-amendment side.
  • Imposition of SSM is fragile and, in turn, it imposes more and more Government intrusions into more and more trivial matters to prop it up.
  • Quebec Government provides another appalling example of where this might be headed.

The short time it takes to listen to this podcast is well worth it, especially in light of Playful Walrus' most recent blogpost about Judge Walker's brazen disregard for the judicial duty to ensure fair treatment of litigators.
